Contessa 32, Built in 1980

The benchmark sailing yacht built by Jeremy Rogers in Lymington, UK to David Sadler/ Rogers design.

South Haze is considered one of the best examples of the Contessa 32, with a racing record that is second to none.

This is no ordinary Contessa 32. She has been optimised for performance, with a major refitundertaken by her original builder in 2000.

There are not many cups she has not won, and she has been thoroughly sorted.

‘South Haze’ was completely re-vamped by Jeremy Rogers in 2000 at a cost of approximately £20,000.00 (invoice available upon request)

She is featured in Sailing Today (Aug. 2000) and has an enviably successful racing record:

  • 18 Contessa Cups won in 2001 Winner of Cowes Contessa’s and Black Group in 2001
  • Winner of Round the Island Race for Contessa 32 class in consecutive years
  • 2nd Contessa 32 class Round the Island Race 2023, 16th Overall

Her bottom has been re-epoxied and faired by Jeremy Rogers in 2000.

All upholstery was replaced by Sanders in 2015.

Saloon windows were replaced in 2015.

Last antifoul March 2023.

We have decided to put ‘South Haze’ on the market to buy a bigger boat due to the increase in family size!

Viewing essential.
