Another new Contessa 32

Contessa lovers will be pleased to see the CO32 hull moulds back in the yard, ready for laying up.  It's not the first time that an owner has come back for a second new build and we are really looking forward to getting stuck into this one which will probably head for Norway on first launch.

It's been incredibly close racing at Cowes  this year in what's been a very windy week so far.  Two days have been called off thanks to high winds of up to 40 knots.  There are 18 boats entered, three with young crews and two (Boudicca and Nimbus ) with all female crews, marking a significant shift for the class...

Cowes week resurgence

Ever since the 1970s the Contessa 32 has enjoyed its own start at Cowes week.  Back then numbers on the start line swelled to nearly 50 which, like most classes, declined over the years.  After the threat of amalgamation with other classes a few years ago, the Contessa 32 is now one of the most popular class starts with 18 boats confirmed.
