Cowes week update

Close racing in a windy Cowes week

It’s been incredibly close racing at Cowes  this year in what’s been a very windy week so far.  Two days have been called off thanks to high winds of up to 40 knots.  There are 18 boats entered, three with young crews and two (Boudicca and Nimbus ) with all female crews, marking a significant shift for the class.  112 people enjoyed a lively CO32 class dinner with a fabulous feast at the Island Sailing Club, whose Commodore is Coh Karek’s Tim Devlin.  Drumbeat are currently looking strong for the top spot, but lots still to play for in the final two days of racing as conditions improve on Thursday and Friday.
