Cowes week resurgence
Ever since the 1970s the Contessa 32 has enjoyed its own start at Cowes week. Back then numbers on the start line swelled to nearly 50 which, like most classes, declined over the years. After the threat of amalgamation with other classes a few years ago, the Contessa 32 is now one of the most popular class starts with 18 boats confirmed.

The first ever all Contessa Regatta took place on the weekend of the 9-11th June and, despite challenging sailing conditions, a great time was had by all. Over 40 boats entered, including Contessa 32s, 26s, 28s and 35s. The event was intended as a tribute to the life and work of the Contessa builder Jeremy Rogers who died last year.
